equalityMD is a safe space where members of the LGBTQ+ community come together to connect with medical providers and with each other. Our inclusive, personalized healthcare platform is a space where you can be your authentic self, receive the care you deserve, and be treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
equalityMD puts you in the driver’s seat on the road to finding and receiving care. Our unique matching system allows you to select what provider you want to see based on your own personal criteria and medical needs. Within equalityMD’s evolving ecosystem, you’ll be able to create your own personal healthcare experience tailored to suit your specific healthcare goals.
In short, equalityMD delivers inclusive, personalized care and makes you the superhero of your own healthcare story. Your health. Your way.
As members of the LGBTQ+ community, we know firsthand how hard it can be to find medical providers who create environments where you feel safe and comfortable being your authentic self. Even doctors who create those safe spaces are largely unfamiliar with the unique healthcare conditions our community faces and the historic discrimination our community has endured for generations. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted systemic inequities that prevent our community from receiving the care we deserve. It also presented the ideal opportunity to build a company designed to elevate the LGBTQ+ community by delivering inclusive, personalized care.
equalityMD permanently solves fundamental problems within the healthcare system for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. We integrated the sacred principles of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) into our corporate culture. DEI is not only the foundation of innovation, it’s the engine that drives everything we do.
equalityMD is working to fix healthcare’s broken “hospital model” by democratizing care, curing systemic inequities, and making patients the heroes of their own healthcare stories. By delivering inclusive, personalized care, we’re making the patient/provider relationship less clinical and putting humanity back into healthcare.
Telehealth is a form of digital communication using devices such as computers, mobile phones, and tablets.
The technology mimics an in-person-like experience by using voice and video collaboration already built into your devices. This technology is especially useful for long-distance communication allowing for faster and more efficient communication if parties are unable to meet physically.
Our unique and culturally intelligent platform lets patients and doctors organically find one another. When Providers and Patients complete their profiles, EqualityMD uses those answers to help you discover the best match using intrinsic data. Over time, the EqualityMD matching system learns more about you and the provider to give you a more personal experience with a higher probability of satisfaction for your particular needs.
Our approach to healthcare is unique. We don’t just match you with a doctor based on your medical record. You are not a medical chart–you’re a living, breathing, beautiful human being with so much to offer this world. When matching you with providers, of course your medical history is a factor. However, equally important is your personal identity, your unique life experiences, and your individual dreams, goals and aspirations.
Let’s talk about our vetting process because it’s truly worth talking about. Every single one of our medical providers goes through a rigorous vetting process that includes background checks, interviews and LGBTQ+ cultural competency training sessions. These educational classes are led by the nation’s premier LGBTQ+ cultural competency training organization for medical professionals. Many doctors are truly inclusive, however, they don’t understand how to effectively communicate with us as LGBTQ+ patients. After going through our vetting process, every provider within our national network will know how to create an empathy-driven, safe space where you’ll feel comfortable being your authentic self–whether that’s on your smartphone or in person.
It gets better. All of our providers are required to go through continuing LGBTQ+ cultural competency training sessions. We want to ensure that our providers are familiar with evolving best practices, terminology, and everything that makes our community uniquely dazzling.
Are you a member of the LGBTQ+ community, an ally, or just someone that wants truly inclusive, personalized healthcare delivered by providers who lead with DEI principles, see you as more than a medical chart, and want to help you live your best, healthiest, most authentic life? If you answered “yes” to any of those, then equalityMD is the perfect fit for you.
From mental health to physical health and general wellness to tailored products and services, equalityMD is YOUR inclusive, personalized healthcare ecosystem. The only reason we exist is to ensure that you have access to the healthcare you deserve. In time, we want to change how the LGBTQ+ perceives and receives care. By helping the underserved LGBTQ+ community, we hope to help all communities live happier, healthier lives.
